Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
While parents rarely are the cause of a child’s struggles, they can play a vital role in solving these problems. As a result, my approach is family oriented. I frequently work extensively with parents, especially at the beginning of treatment. Therapy is more effective when the parents and I are working together to help their child. Additionally, schools can play an important role in supporting a child who is struggling. When indicated, I also collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special educators to create a school environment that appreciates and addresses the child’s needs.
